Sealed Air's Nelipak® business specialises in designing and producing thermoformed packaging for the medical and pharmaceutical market. Examples include medical packaging for orthopaedic implants, pacemakers, surgery sets, catheters and diagnostic kits.
The packaging has to meet a number of strict requirements. The most critical is maintaining the integrity and the sterility of the contents up to the time of use. This places special demands on the design and production of the plastic packaging. Our staff have the expertise to cover all aspects of this process, using the latest CAD design and development tools from prototypes to finished product.
Production takes place in Cleanrooms up to class 7 (10,000) and Nelipak® sites have accreditation to ISO 13485-2003. For a complete turnkey solution Sealed Air also offers Nelipak® heat sealing machines, lidding materials and the system validation services.
